Sam Bartow – Owner
Sam served as a communications maintenance technician in the United States Air Force from 1985 to 1990. While serving in Turkey, Germany, England and Florida he was responsible for the repair and maintenance of a wide variety of communications equipment, including: Microwave and HF Radio, Telephone, Public Address and Base and Installation Security Systems.
In 1989 he earned his Associate of Applied Science in Electronic Systems Technology from Community College of the Air Force, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Technology Management from St. Leo University.
After leaving the Air Force in 1990, Sam worked as an engineer, and managed the newswire service for Learfield Communications, a large radio broadcast network using state-of-the-art satellite equipment.
In 1998, with a wife and two small children, he decided to leave the fast-paced radio broadcasting business to fulfill a lifelong dream of owning his own small business. He found a small paper supply company for sale with tremendous upside potential, as the owner was retiring. He purchased the business and quickly began expanding products offered by the company, along with the territory and customer base. He renamed it BPI Supply, which stands for Business Product Inventory.
After many years of steady growth, Sam was made aware of an opportunity to bid on government contracts as a Service-Disabled Veteran Enterprise, so in 2020, he created Bartow Investment Group, Inc. and registered with the State of Missouri as an SDVE. BPI Supply is now a dba under Bartow Investment Group, Inc. Bartow Investment Group, Inc. is also registered nationally as a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (VetCert) with the Small Business Administration.
As an SDVE, Bartow Investment Group, Inc., has continued to expand the services it provides to meet the needs of its strategic partners in the extremely competitive world of government contracting.
